The culmination of Water Music Festivals 35th season and 35th Anniversary Celebration will be a performance by a thrilling world-class chamber trio, the Black Oak Ensemble, with guest appearance by Saturdays classical guitarist, Mak Grgic.
With flamboyant vitality and a unique, captivating sound that excites audiences, the Black Oak Ensemble is made up of Grammy-nominated violinist Desiree Ruhstrat, violist Aurelien Fort Pederzoli and cellist David Cunliffe.
Last year, Water Music Festival concert goers were delighted by Desiree and David, when they performed as part of Fandango.
The Black Oak Ensemble has performed throughout the United States and Europe. The project-based ensemble presents exciting programs from Bach to the music of today and is a passionate advocate of undiscovered and new works. They have recently premiered commissions from renowned composers.
As dedicated educators, the members of the ensemble have recently put down roots in the south of France, creating Musique Dans Le Gers, a music festival in the southwest of France, which gives them the opportunity to work with young musicians and share their gift of music with the community.
A portion of our proceeds benefits the local school music programs
