Everwood Farmstead Foundation continues its 8th season of the Artist Series with S. Carey on Saturday, August 10th.

S. Carey's voice may not hit with blunt force at first but when it creeps up on you, and it will, a soulful range is revealed, with a reedy, singular quality. Over the course of three albums, two EPs, and a few one-off singles, Carey has proven to be a reliable source of enduring beauty. And in an era when the shelf life of art is typically measured in minutes, this accomplishment puts him in a rare group of artists, seemingly unconcerned (but not indifferent) to passing trends. Carey recorded, mixed and produced his latest full-length album, Hundred Acres, at home and in various studios in rural Wisconsin.

Everwood's Pay-What-You-Can ticket price is simple - choose your ticket price from the list above. One-half of your ticket price will be provided to the artists and the other half will be distributed through Everwood's Aspiring Artists Fund. The Fund provides grants to arts-focused teachers in Barron, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties for projects that spark wonder and talent in their young, aspiring artists. Everwood reveals a recipient(s) at each performance. Since 2010, Everwood has donated over $23,000 to local school programs.
