Rehearsing in Rosendale
The Rosendale Theatre presents REHEARSING IN ROSENDALE, by Emmy Award Winner, Sean Roche, a new comedy about two friends who rehearse a play but wind up drawing more laughs and heart from the stories happening offstage than on.
REHEARSING IN ROSENDALE is the sometimes-autobiographical story of two actors who grew up in Rosendale back in the 60s and 70s. They get together to rehearse a new one-act play, only to become comically sidetracked by forgotten memories and cathartic crossroads that begin to rewrite the show theyre working on. Set in the Rosendale Theatre itself, this is a warm and personal comedy about a true 50-year friendship and how growing up together, as kids in Rosendale, helped shape the stories they now tell and how they tell them. Cast members include Brian Mathews and Sean Roche as themselves. REHEARSING IN ROSENDALE is produced by the Rosendale Theatre Collective.
The play will be performed Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 19 at 3 pm. The Rosendale Theatre is located at 408 Main Street, Rosendale, NY 12472. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased at rosendaletheatre.org. or $18 at the door. For more information: 845-658-8989
