Roan Yellowthorn began their musical began their musical journey together as recent graduates of Bard College and toured while Jackie's songwriting blossomed. The summer of 2017 saw their first full-length album, Indigo.
Their songs are always lyric and story-driven, with multi- dimensional music--Jackie McLean on keyboard and Shawn Strack on drums, bass and guitar. Jackie's stories are both introspective and engaged, progressing through hooky, beat-driven melodies and dreamier contemplations.
