The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus
Christopher Marlowe's adaptation of the German folktale of Faustus and the tragedy of his damnation. Unsatisfied with the limits of human knowledge, the learned Faustus turns to magic and necromancy to understand the world and force his will upon it - But his blood pact with Lucifer to obtain those powers puts his eternal soul in peril.
