Student Workshop: From Earth to the Moon Rocket Science
Fifty years ago, Neil Armstrong made "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Join the Whatcom Museum in celebrating this historic feat on July 20th, 10am-noon, with a special student workshop: From Earth to the Moon: Rocket Science and Chemical Reactions. You'll find out rocket science is easier than you think! This program, for ages 8-14, will be led by educator Drew Whatley. He'll teach students about how chemical reactions work while every participant gets to make and fire their own rocket. After designing and assembling the rockets, students will go outside to the Lightcatcher Courtyard to test launch their creations. Adults, friends, and family are welcome to attend the rocket launch in the Courtyard at noon.
No refunds.
