2019 UCS Human Service Summit
This years Human Service Summit will continue to focus on an issue that communities around the country are facing -- the rising costs of housing. We will discuss this challenge in Johnson County and share work that the Johnson County Health Equity Network has been doing and discuss how housing impacts health outcomes.
The keynote speaker for this years Summit is Dr. Tiffany Manuel, PhD., President and CEO of TheCaseMade. Trained as a social scientist, Dr. Manuel is committed to building the capacity of changemakers and leaders to grow their social impact. She has worked to expand opportunity for low-income workers, families and communities through 25+ years of professional and volunteer experience spanning the private and non-profit sectors, government and academia. She is the primary architect of the Opportunity360 platform, with more than 100,000 users in the community development field, which remains the most comprehensive data platform for practitioners looking to advance systems change and population outcomes.
The Summit will include a multi-sector community panel moderated by Steve Kraske of KCUR's Up To Date. During the session, attendees will participate in table breakout discussions focused on collaborative solutions and next steps in creating a response to housing challenges.
