Like many before him, Sam Lewis moved to Nashville to make music. But unlike the majority, Lewis managed to hop on one of the most successful tours that country music has seen as of late. He has collaborated with everyone from Leon Russell to The Wood Brothers. Chris Stapleton dubbed him a modern Townes Van Zandt. And while he is often labeled with some form of the word soulful, Lewis style meets at a juncture of many different genres. There's something about Sam Lewis that is indescribably different and with his newest project, he's discovered what most musicians spend lifetimes working for - the place where feel-good music meets vital social commentary. He performs a mixture of material that see his voice draw comparisons with Van Morrison, James Taylor and a late 60's/early 70's version of Bob Dylan. Lewis was recently named one of Rolling Stone's 10 Artists You Need to Know About.
Opening the show and performing with Sam Lewis will be Sweden's Dimpker Brothers. Martin and Adam Dimpker have played music together for most of their lives and the result is something many refer to as "blood harmonies". In addition to their harmonic connectedness, the brothers are exceptional multi instrumental musicians sought after as sidemen. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
