Seattle AWIS is honored to recognize four outstanding women who have advanced their fields of scientific research, education and outreach. They are leaders and innovators whose work has made an impact. They are mentors and inspiring role models for students and other professionals.
We will be honoring - Dr. Denise Galloway, PhD, from Fred Hutch - Human Biology Division, for Scientific Advancement & Leadership; - Dr. Corrie Ortega, PhD, from Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, for Early Career Achievement in STEM; - Dr. Jeanne Chowning, MS, PhD, from Fred Hutch - Science Education, for Excellence in Science Education/Outreach, and - Dr. Reitha Weeks, PhD, from Shoreline Community College, as Outstanding Seattle AWIS Member.
At this event we will be presenting the chapter's 2019 undergraduate scholarship recipients.
Photographs will be taken at this event for use on our Seattle AWIS website and in other Seattle AWIS publications and media material. By attending our event, you are consenting to being photographed by Seattle AWIS and having your image and likeness used for Seattle AWIS-related purposes.

TICKET PURCHASES: All tickets have been sold because our seating maximum has been reached. You may sign up to be on the wait list by contacting reithaweeks@gmail.com.
Ticket includes buffet dinner with wine and sparkling cider. No tickets will be sold at the door.
To pay online: You will have the option to pay via Brown Paper Tickets. Payments by credit card will add on a service fee.

In the memo line, indicate the name of the person attending the banquet. If a scholarship donation is being included, please include a note indicating the amount. Please include your name and email for a confirmation that the check was received.
DONATIONS: We encourage you to donate generously to the AWIS Scholarship Fund. Undergraduate women studying science, technology, engineering or math at a Washington college or university are selected based on outstanding letters of recommendation, financial need, community service and a strong interest in pursuing a career in STEM.
