Dr. Robert Wehdorn-Roithmayr will present the fundamental principles of tensile membrane structure from an architecture and engineering perspective, as well as innovative opportunities to address today's sustainability concerns by incorporating fabric membranes in architectural projects.

Robert Wehdorn-Roithmayr (Architect Univ. Lecturer Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn.) graduated in Architecture and Computer Science. PhD at the Vienna University of Technology and the Berlin University of Technology. He is a legally certified Engineer (since 2007). Robert Wehdorn-Roithmayr is partner of Wehdorn Architekten Ziviltechniker GmbH (since 2004), founder and CEO of the "Formfinder Software GmbH Wien" (2006) and chairman of the section "Architecture and Planning" of the Austrian Association of Engineers- and Architects (OIAV) since 2009. Until 2008 he has been directing competence at the institute of industrial software. Since 2008 he teaches at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Construction Process Management with Professor Achammer, today he works as planner and consultant on major international projects involving formactive structures.
