There are more than 50 weekly farmers markets in San Diego County. Learn how to take your crop, product or idea and become a farmers' market success story.
Farmers Market Vending 101 will be held from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm. Check-in begins at 9:00 am. We will answer your questions including:
What kind of products can I sell at farmers' markets? What permits do I need and how do I get them? What kind of equipment do I need and where do I find it? What will it cost to get started? How do I get accepted and make my product a best seller?
How does the new cottage food law affect my business?
Professionals on site to answer your questions about Insurance, commercial kitchen space, equipment, marketing and more!
Farmers' Market Vending 102 will be held from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm. We will take your start-up one step further:
How do I choose a name and logo, and how do I find a graphic designer? Do I need a website? How do I leverage the power of social media? What do I need to know about packaging and labeling? How do I determine pricing and inventory? What are the basics of funding my business?
Limited class size. Class will be held in Downtown San Diego. $55 for each section or both for $95, in advance. ($60 per session / $110 for both day of event)
Includes class, materials and refreshments; enjoy a no-host lunch at the San Diego Public Market between sessions.
