The Artists
Smith Street Stage is excited to present an Early Stages reading of Noah Mease's new play
The Artists: A Mechanical Play by Noah Mease Directed by Katie Willmorth
Originally inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Artists features a group of contemporary theater makers who work together to put up a one-night-only performance of Pyramus and Thisbe.
This play asks questions about who makes theater and why. What happens when a group of people with a common goal, different talents and interests, and limited resources end up in a room together? Come discover the answers with us!
Featuring: Sarah Jes Austell, Katya Collazo, Dan Hasse, Beth Ann Hopkins*, Jonathan Hopkins, Josephine Hurshell-Hobson, Anita Rundles, Will Sarratt, Hannah Sloat*, Katie Willmorth*, and Tobias Christian Wong*

Smith Street Stage Early Stages is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
