Showings of Works-in-Progress by Po'Chop and Courtney Mackedanz
Pivot Arts Presents Showings of Works-in-Progress by Po'Chop and Courtney Mackedanz. Short showings from our incubator program include both "The Peoples Church of the Ghetto" by Po'Chop/Jenn Freeman, a multi-disciplinary (dance, poetry and music) project that creates spaces to learn, edify and worship the legacies of black women, as well as "Clusterfuq," a new performance art piece by choreographer Courtney Mackedanz, that tells the story of a group of friends who discover that they are able to change one another's blood types as they disclose their personal traumas to one another. Excerpts of works are followed by a discussion with the artists. Photo: Greg Inda
