Storytelling: The Art of Crafting Fiction is an introduction to creative writing that is appropriate for all levels; it's for anyone who wishes to pursue writing as a creative outlet. Although the focus is fiction writing this class will also be helpful to the creative non-fiction writer, as we will address topics pertinent to all forms of creative writing. Class hours will be spent sharing information, ideas and writing. Each month will feature a different guest instructor.
About April's Instructor: Nathan Elias is the author of the novelette A Myriad of Roads That Lead to Here (August 2017) and the chapbook Glass City Blues: Poems (2018). Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Nathan spent six years in Los Angeles, California writing screenplays and working on films. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida where he now focuses on fiction and poetry. His latest writing projects include a collection of short stories and a novel.
He holds an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles. He has served as editor on the literary journal Lunch Ticket and his fiction has been nominated for the AWP Intro Journals Project. His films have appeared in Cannes Film Festival and other venues.
