Riverkeeper Rain Garden Workshop
Did you know your landscape can help reduce the number one pollution source to the Russian River? Rain gardens, bioswales and other landscape features not only look great, they can help save the River from the leading source of pollution today - polluted urban run-off. Head down to SHED and learn how Rain Gardens work and the basics of designing one. There will be an opportunity for questions and advice on your project.
The workshop will include a tour of a bioswale in progress and a completed rain garden. Resource information on plans, plants, soils and design considerations will be provided.
The workshop will be lead by Russian Riverkeeper Don McEnhill and Riverkeeper's Education Coordinator Jordan Senia who have designed and built several rain gardens and bioswales in our watershed.
Proceeds to benefit the Russian Riverkeeper.
