Gather your friends for a docent-led look at gorgeous wedding fashion from the 1950s to the present day. Then stay in the festive spirit with tea at the cozy Tea Rose Garden, 28 S. Raymond Avenue. Parking validated at the schoolhouse structure across the street.
The gowns in I Do! I Do! Part II - borrowed from local residents, bridal shops, and designers - define specific styles and together create a chronology of wedding gown history decade by decade from 1950 to the present.
The works of several important designers are on display, including William Cahill, Oleg Cassini, Monique Lhuillier, Alexander McQueen, Priscilla of Boston, and Vera Wang. Personal stories, formal portraits, wedding announcements, and other ephemera accompany the gowns.
Tour tickets: Members $10; Non-Members $15. Tea: $25 including tax, payable at restaurant (20% of your bill will be donated to PMH).
