JAZZ IT UP @ HYATT HILLS PUB with LAUREN SHUB in Concert
The popular supper club style monthly Jazz it Up @ Hyatt Hills Pub Concert & Dining Experience continues with an evening of 40's and American Song Book classics with the accomplished and in-demand vocalist Lauren Shub accompanied by the Ilya Maslov Trio in concert at the comfortable Hyatt Hills Pub, located at 1300 Raritan Road in Clark, NJ. The evening includes selections from Lauren's recent CD release "Dream Dancing".
Lauren Shub is a professional actor and singer, having graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Lauren has a handle on the 1940s sound, yet she brings her own sensibility to the well-known standards from the American Songbook. She grabs you with a smooth, precise, and controlled approach to singing, and tops that off with a sweet tone and a lilt to her vibrato, that is reminiscent of the legendary Sarah Vaughan.
Lauren has appeared on Broadway and in regional theater, including the McCarter Theater in Princeton. As a singer she has appeared with a range of jazz musicians in New York City and New Jersey. She frequently performs with jazz guitarist Hal Hirsh, and pianist Ilya Maslov and their respective ensembles, as well as with guitarist Joseph Frame and the Framework Acoustic Jazz Quartet.
Among Lauren's local appearances have been performances at the Watchung Arts Center, Crossroads, Verve, Perkins Arts Center's Decafe series, the Hunt Club at the Grand Summit Hotel, North Maple Inn, Giamano's, and appearances in the SunRex Events Jazz It Up Series, the New Music Series and many performances over the years in Westfield's annual "Sweet Sounds Downtown" jazz festival.
Among the national jingles Lauren has sung are Prudential and Snickers as well as numerous voice-over recordings. Lauren was the inaugaural performer at the new Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center. Lauren will be joined for this performance by the accomplished Ilya Maslov Trio.
Tickets are priced at $39.95 per person including a choice of dinner entrée, dessert and beverage. Additional bar service and drink specials are also available. Seating and dinner service for the concert experience starts at 6:30pm and continues during the program. Showtime is from 7pm to 9pm.
