We hope you can join us for what promises to be a delightfully warm summer's evening of ceilidh dancing, soaring flute, sharing of food and drink, and companionship.
We've room for up to 180 dancers and three hours of dances with music and calling by the splendid Hud Yer Wheesht as well as support from local musicians on mandolin, fiddles, guitar and voice.
We're encouraging people to bring a picnic tea for their friends and family between the first and second sets. Hopefully the sun will shine and we can eat in the garden but otherwise the hall will be cosy.
Please bring:
- food for your picnic tea - cash for the raffle and bar (cards also accepted) - a reusable water bottle - to save on some of the washing of glasses!
The evening's programme:
5pm doors open, bar serving 5.30pm set one - Hud Yer Wheesht 6.30pm musicians playing in the bar picnic food - bring and share for your family and friends 7.30pm set two - Hud Yer Wheesht 8.30pm raffle with Gandolf 9pm set set three - Hud Yer Wheesht 10pm doors close, and home or beach wander/nightcap at Skylark or Dalriada

This ceilidh has been organised by the ceilidh collective in association with Portobello and Musselburgh Quakers. All the profits from door and bar as well as all the proceeds from our ubiquitous fundraising raffle will go to support the work of the charities and grassroots organisations nominated: Aid & Abet, Edinburgh Tool Library, Bellfield itself and Wiston Quakers.
