Shindig at Cooper's Alley
We are pleased to announce the Spring Scenic City Supper Club Shindig at Coopers Alley featuring Chef Kevin Johnson, executive chef and owner of The Grocery in Charleston, SC, and a two-time James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast. Chef Johnson is known for creating dishes that harness the rich culture of his beloved Lowcountry home and highlight the seasonality of the south. With Chef Johnson at the helm, Supper Clubbers can expect fresh, produce-forward plates that speak to the vibrant foodways of one of the nations favorite food cities, Charleston.
Taking place on Sunday, April 28 in the Passageways 2.0 alley, a permanent art installation focused on the urban fabric that exists between Chattanoogas buildings, Supper Clubbers will not only revel in a thoughtfully prepared four-course meal, but a visual feast as well.
The evening will commence at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour featuring Chattanooga Whiskey samplings and passed hors doeurves prepared by each participating chef, followed by a coursed meal paired with beverages from Cathead, Straight to Ale Brewing, and Blackberry Farm Brewery. Chef Johnson will lead a collaborative menu alongside Chef Ben Romines of Main Street Meats, Chef Justin Bennett of Pizzeria Cortile, Cheese Monger Jesse Watlington and Owner Brittany Watlington of Bleu Fox Cheese Shop, and the featured beverage professionals from Mad Priest Coffee and Cocktails. Together, the group will prepare a meal for 150 guests to enjoy.
