ICAP Children's Summer Program 2019
Monday through Friday, 8:30am- 3:30pm Girls in Grades K-6 67 Park, Montclair, NJ
ICAP offers a summer day camp program to cultivate an awareness and love of nature and design in children. Join us as we explore this dynamic 1-week program. Magical adventures await! Only fifteen spaces are available.To Register Please Email info@icaparts.org
Summer Program Theme:The Art of Architecture. Children will learn about the art of architecture. Using wood, clay, legos and coding with a Liberty Science Center instructor.
Inspired by the works of architects Zaha Hadid, Santiago Calatrava, David Adjaye, and Frank Lloyd Wright children will learn the tools needed to build a sound and sturdy construction. Students will leave the class with a architectural model, and architectural sketches.
Wearable Art With Ms. Bibi & her sewing machine. Campers will also explore fundamental design principles through a project of restructure couture design. Ms. Bibi will expose students to the work of such fashion pioneers as, Tracey Reese, Alexander McQueen. The class will culminate in a fabulous runway show at ICAP and create a video commercial.
Podcast Campers will interview chef and bestselling author Julia Turshen through Skype.
Cooking Children will create two mini appetizer.
Yoga Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday early morning yoga.
Swimming Campers will swim at Mountainside Pool on Monday and Tuesday.
Hiking Children will hike on Fort Montgomery on Thursday.
Trip Architecture Tour of two iconic buildings. New York Historical Society Guggenheim Museum
July 29-August 3, 2019 8:30am-3:30pm Returning campers $250 Siblings $75 additional fee: $15 per day or swimming pass $20 Thursday $40 Friday No Refund After June 1, 2019.
