Weekend Writers Workshop: An evening of 10 new plays written by Newburyports finest Weekend Writers.
Every third weekend a group of award-winning playwrights and actors gather at The Actors Studio to collaborate and workshop each others new work. The playwrights give their pages to the actors in advance, the actors bring the words to life, suggestions are made, and before long new plays are born.
Workshop playwrights have been produced at more than seventy-five festivals around the country - from The Fusion Theaters The Seven to The Players Theater in NYC - and their plays have been performed at The Boston Theater Marathon more than a dozen times.
All proceeds will benefit The Actors Studio of Newburyport.
