Conscious Dying and Death -- Robert Sachs
A very wise woman said, Talking about sex doesnt get you pregnant. So it reasons that talking about death doesnt make you dead."
In this course you will be focused on the dynamics of dying and death. Your instructor, Robert Sachs will provide insights from the work he has done as a hospice social worker and bereavement counselor, from his study of Tibetan Ayurveda and from guidance of Tibetan Buddhist Masters.
Of particular emphasis will be the Transference of Consciousness at the time of death or the yoga of Phowa.
This is a two session course. In the first class you will focus on the elemental dynamics of dying and death. In the second class you will focus on the Transference of Consciousness practice and other practical things with which we can help and support the dying.
Two sessions: May 2 at 1pm and May 9 at 1pm
Purchasing a single ticket for this course will entitle you to attend both classes of this course.
Handouts will be provided to you.
Robert Sachs is a frequent teacher for LLCC. He is a teacher of Ayurveda and meditation, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trained as a death doula. He is also the author of Rebirth Into Pure Land and Perfect Endings.
