South Shore Theatre Experience and Parlor of Mystery presents Mentalism ~ Comedy ~ Magic
AWARD-WINNING MAGIC, COMEDY AND MENTALISM AT THE PARLOR OF MYSTERY APRIL 28 at 7pm
Award Winning and decorated magician and mentalist Bobby Torkova returns to the Parlor of Mystery. He will be accompanied by magicians Zachary Gartrell, Mike Goldman and emcee Thaddeus who will present magic, comedy and mentalism that will boggle the mind.
Torkova The New York Post said Torkova was, "Unquestionably among the best." Torkova has won numerous awards for his magic including the 2013 Merlin Award for Best Classical Magic from the International Magicians Society, is a Two-Time First Place Winner in the Society of American Magicians National Competition and won the prestigious Hofzinser Award for Classical Magic given by the Vienna Magic Theater in Austria. A scholar of magic and its history, Torkova has acted as a magic consultant to off-Broadway productions and has been featured in the bestseller Magic for Dummies by David Pogue.
Zachary Gartrell At just 26 years old, Zach Gartrells unique brand of thoughtful magic has been featured in theaters across the US. Zach preseents unbelievable twists on the classics wrapped up in friendly approachable personality that will leaves audiences scratching their heads and smiling. Zack hails from, Virginia where he was featured on News 6 in Roanoke. He is the winner of the Raleigh, North Carolina Close-up Competition and the three-time winner of best legs in kilt contest an achievement he is most proud of.
Michael Goldman He's Long Island's Hyperactive Magician because his performances are fabulously fast-paced. Goldman will perform more miracles during intermission in the lobby than most magicians can perform in a full evening show. Mike is a sassy and a technically superb close-up performer.
Thaddeus Emcee, Thaddeus, has been performing in Long Island theaters for over 30 years as an actor and a magician. Thaddeus annually performs his one-man magic show at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center to raves. With wife Debbie, Thaddeus runs the South Shore Theatre Experience. Thaddeus is also one of the founders of The Parlor of Mystery and often produces and emcees our shows.
The Parlor of Mysterys home is the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. Its the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is a small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 40. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 115 South Wellwood Ave. in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non- profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops. No one under the age of 7 will be admitted.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects.
