The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to welcome Dan Battista, Senior V-P of Lowe's Real Estate.
Dan Battista is responsible for Lowe's hospitality, master planned resort communities, and commercial development and investment activities in the southeastern U.S. and Caribbean. He oversees the Charleston office where the firm currently serves as the managing partner for The Resort at Wild Dunes and continues to pursue new opportunities in the region.
He is involved in all aspects of the development process including sourcing projects, securing entitlements, working closely with the construction and sales & marketing teams, and transitioning projects from development to operations. Previously, Dan was a Vice President with Pascorp Realty Advisors, a specialty real estate firm in NYC, where he oversaw the transition of ownership and liquidation of over $3 billion of real estate projects. Dan began his career in public accounting serving as a Certified Public Accountant for a regional accounting firm in New Jersey serving clients in the real estate industry.
While with Lowe Dan has been involved in development projects totaling $900 million, most recently overseeing the $120 million condominium and conference center development at Wild Dunes Resort. He is currently overseeing the construction and design of a 153 Key Hotel at Wild Dunes Resort and a 225 Key Hotel in Downtown Charleston adjacent to Riley Waterfront Park.
Dan has been with Lowe since relocating to Charleston in 2006 and in his free time, Dan and his family enjoy all of the wonderful things Charleston has to offer, including exploring the City's historic landmarks and dining at its many fine restaurants. Lowe began investing in the Charleston area with the acquisition of Wild Dunes Resort in 1990. Over the past 30 years, Lowe has built out the amenities in Wild Dunes Resort. In January of 2017, Lowe made another significant invest in the Charleston area with the acquisition of the former SC State Ports Authority headquarters in Downtown Charleston with the plans to build a 225-key and extend Joe Riley Waterfront Park. With the establishment of the Charleston office under Dan's direction Lowe is excited to expand its investment footprint in the region.
