JOEY ABARTA's 'Swimming Against the Falls' CD Release in Tualatin

Joey Abarta, www.JoeyAbarta.com, has gathered some of the most talented traditional artists the United States has to offer to help release his debut solo album, Swimming Against the Falls. Dave Cory on tenor banjo, Jaclynn O'Riley sean nos dance and Brian Hart on accordian and sean nos singing. All respected solo performers and teachers in their fields, this quartet of musicians is coming together to collaborate for ten house concerts that bring this great music that started in home back to the home.

This concert is in a private home in Tualatin in the 'Cul an Ti' named the 'Wee Ceili Room'. Many international musicians have performed here in this intimate setting that requires no electronics, totally acoustic.

We will start the evening out by a social hour. We will provide fresh BBQ pulled Pork for the potluck that starts at 7pm. We encourage all to bring something to share with food and or drink.

After the concert, we welcome players that attended to session with these fine folks and the others to dance or just enjoy the craic!
