Trione-Annadel City Nature Challenge Mt. Bike Ride
The October 2017 Nuns Fire, burned about 60% of Trione-Annadel State Park. Help monitor recovery of the burned park by riding park trails and using the iNaturalist app to photograph as many plants and animals things as we can find. Please be prepared for a moderate ride of up to 14 miles for this event.
Itinerary 8 AM - 9 AM: meet at the Warren Richardson trail head. We will train participants on iNaturalist and rare plants, and discuss our goals for the day. 9 AM - noon: Ride your mt. bike, with a focus on finding rare plants in burned areas along Warren, Ridge, Marsh, and South Burma trails.

Bioblitzes are gatherings of scientists, citizen scientists, land managers, and more, all working together to find and identify as many different species as possible. Bioblitzes not only help land managers build a species list and atlas for their park and provide invaluable data for researchers, they also highlight the incredible biodiversity in these Bay Area oases.
Registration is free, and attendees will get lunch, but be sure to let us know you're coming!
Be prepared for a moderate ride on fire road, and rocky, uneven single-track; bring water and a snack. HEAVY RAIN CANCELS. There is a day use fee $7 per car ($6 for seniors). Please pay at STOP sign on Channel Drive. Dogs not allowed. There are restrooms and water at the parking area.
Directions: from Montgomery Drive, turn onto Channel Drive and follow the road in approximately mile to the STOP sign. Pay fee or display State Park Pass. Drive 1 mile to the large parking lot.
