ARTE Y PASION AGUITAS

Tamara Adira Arte y Pasión in conjunction with Brick at Blue Star Arts Complex will present AGÜITAS on Wednesday, April 3 at Brick at Blue Star. Arte y Pasión generates a symphonic balance between the flamenco, classical, performing and fine arts to elevate the Spanish dance art form while emphasizing harmony in diversity. Their performance is titled Aguitas, named after "the rivers and tributaries in our souls." These whispers and waters in our souls, when ignored, in time become a torrent, a tsunami that can no longer be denied. We call attention to the relationship between current events in Philadelphia, The Mexican Border, and 1942 Germany. Our Mexican brothers and sisters at the border are experiencing what we experienced in Germany of 1942. We must face and acknowledge that this continues to happen. Now more than ever we must do our part to learn from history and prevent it from happening ever again.
The project will feature a Very Special surprise guest -- so this event is not to be missed. In addition, members of Arte y Pasión, Tamara Adira, Chayito Champion, Randy Cordero, Monica Moncivais, Jessica Ahr, Luke Bonecutter, and Alex Nicholas, San Antonio visionary Alex Paul Scheel on lights and effects, with performance artist Edward Lewis and spoken word artist Andrea Vocab Sanderson.
