Community Conversation Series No vengeance for revolt?
The civil war in Greece (1946-49) scarred Greek society for decades and led to the involvement of the United States and Canada in the region through military and humanitarian aid. This talk will discuss the Canadian press coverage of the war, the efforts to bring displaced Greek children to Canada and the issues of memory and trauma. The event will also present some of the stories of people who lived through the period and immigrated to Canada.
