Liqueur & Cordial Making Workshop - a Fundraiser for Slow Food Solano's School Garden Grant Program
Liqueurs & cordials are a great way to preserve your backyard fruit or favorite farmers market fruit. They make great gifts, and are an excellent excuse to purchase those beautiful glass decanters and liqueur glasses you see at thrift and gift shops! Even in the winter there are many options for liqueurs to make  and then you are primed for all the wonderful possibilities of the local fruit season this summer!

During the class youll make either a Limoncello, Cherry, or Strawberry Liqueur. We'll also discuss aftercare for your liqueurs & other simple equipment you'll need later on.

This is a hands on make-n-take style class with a liberal dose of beverage lore thrown in, too!  You instructor Sarah has been making and teaching liqueur-making for 20 years. She's made liqueurs professionally for restaurants, and has won multiple ribbons for them at the Alameda County Fair. She's also a former organic farmer, former sommelier, and a member of Slow Food Solano!

For the last ten years, Slow Food Solano has given grants to schools throughout Solano County, enabling teachers and volunteers to get students into the garden, to grow and taste fresh food. This years Slow Food Solano school garden grant program funded 21 gardens at 20 schools, throughout the county. Buying a ticket to this fun workshop supports this wonderful program!
