Willow weaving workshop, using willow to create a plant support (pea cone) for the garden.
Students will take home one plant support at the end of the workshop; there is the possibility of making more than one piece for the cost of the extra materials if time allows.
We will make the Pea Cone using a wooden former to hold stout uprights of 8 to 10 foot willow in place, and you will be taught a 'bunched pairing weave' to weave around the bottom of the uprights, then spiral up the cone. Materials are graded to get thinner towards the top.
Cost of workshop includes materials to make one cone.
If you have to cancel your place after the soaking time (10 days before the event) then refunds will no longer be available through Brown Paper Tickets as materials have already been purchased and prepared.
