AACE Seattle Section April 11th, 2019 Meeting Executive Inn by the Space Needle 200 Taylor Avenue N. Seattle, WA
PRESENTATION and AWARDS: This meeting will be a joint meeting between the AACEi Seattle chapter and the local chapters of SAVE and ASPE. This will be an opportunity to share our experiences and network. We are honored to have Doug Leo the incoming AACEi international President to be our speaker. For the presentation: Doug Leo will be discussing his use in AACEs technical products and how these are used daily in the performance of his job. At the end of the presentation Doug will be presenting AACEi Seattle Chapter 2019 Scholarships to the award winners that were selected.
PRESENTER: Mr. Leo has more than 30 years of total cost management, professional estimating and project consulting experience in the engineering and construction industries. His emphasis is on assisting clients in establishing best-in-class Capital Project Delivery. Clients include King County Wastewater Treatment Division, Seattle Public Utilities, US Army Corps of Engineers, Husky Energy, Shell Oil, Kinross Gold Corporation, and Agrium. Mr. Leo prepares, reviews and validates conceptual and detailed estimates for water, waste water, domestic and international heavy civil and mechanical projects ranging from $200,000 to over $10 billion in size. He specializes in capital projects of strategic importance, utilizing new technologies and parametric estimating methodologies.

TIME: Please note that our meeting times have moved up by half hour as requested by several of our members. 5:00pm - Social Hour 6:00pm - Dinner 6:45pm - Program
COST: The price for this event is $32.00 if you register before 12:00 Noon on the Friday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $39.00 after 12PM to 5PM on Friday April 5th.
Please note that registration for dinner will be closed Friday April 5th, at 5:00 pm. After 5pm on Friday general admission tickets will go on sale, no dinner will be provided for General Admission tickets.
MENU: Baked Salmon with BBQ Sauce, Hale's Ale Troll Porter Braised Short Rib, and Vegetarian (requires one week advance notice).

In addition, if you attend without an RSVP there is a possibility that your meal options will be limited from those listed above. Anybody interested in budget control, claims management, cost engineering, cost estimating, earned value management, planning and scheduling, project control, project management, value engineering, or risk management in any industry is cordially invited.
AACE Seattle Section normally meets the 2nd Thursday of each month (with this month being the exception) from September through June (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCP/CEP/CFCC/DRMP/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
