Rocksteady, ska, pop punk, and grunge all make appearances in the liner notes that accompanyThe son of actress Kate Vereau and musician Lou Gallo, Frank Gallo received his SAG card at the ripe age of two, appearing in commercials and in Nickelodeons Pete and Pete, Prince of Tides, Scenes from a Mall, Mighty Aphrodite, House of Buggin, and Six Degrees of Separation. By the time he reached middle school, Frank had phased out acting and started his own band. He recorded his first full-length album when he was 15 and has continued to produce records ever since.
Andrew Tuzhilins parents moved to the U.S. from the former Soviet Union. Andrew grew up in the New Jersey and New York suburbs, attending Waldorf School in Chestnut Ridge, New York and Fair Lawn High School in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, where he met Frank Gallo. In 2006, after study at Bostons famed Berklee College of Music, Andrew joined Frank in Brooklyn, where they wrote the first batch of songs for what would become Rolie Polie Guacamole. Fellow Berklee graduates Christian McCarthy and Peter Barr later became band members.
