San Francisco City Chorus
Three rarely-performed choral gems are featured in the San Francisco City Chorus' Spring Concert on Saturday, May 4, 3:00 PM at Old First Presbyterian Church, corner of Sacramento Street and Van Ness Avenue. Internationally renowned Bay Area mezzo-soprano Leandra Ramm joins the Chorus as the featured soloist for Mendelssohn's sound spectacular "Drei geistliche Lieder" and Schubert's dynamic "Mirjams Siegesgesang" (Miriam's Song of Triumph). Russian composer Alexander Gretchaninovs noble "Missa Festiva", written specifically for choir and organ, concludes the program. Larry Marietta conducts and John Walko accompanies on both the piano and organ.
