Sunnyhill Live! Buffalo Run
Buffalo Run features Levee Smith (vocals) and Keith Roberts (vocals and electric bass), formerly the duo Smith & Roberts, and Bob Shank (hammered dulcimer and banjo), Hank Schwartz (drums), and Michael Hall (upright bass).
Buffalo Run grew out of Smith's songwriting for Smith & Roberts, who released two albums, Buffalo Run (1980) and By Accident (2005).
Buffalo Run lyrics tell about life in small town America and the joys of simple country and mountain living. Smith's love of his home in Garrett County, Maryland, is evident in his songs, as is the sincere joy he feels in harmony with nature.
Shank is a West Virginia musical icon who, for more than three decades, has been a benchmark for American banjo players.
The performance takes place in the 220-seat sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills in Mt. Lebanon, PA. Wheelchair accessible. Service dogs welcome. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments available for purchase before the show and during intermission.
Advance tickets are available only through BrownPaperTickets for $15 Adults and $8 Students (K-12). Tickets at the door will be $20/$10. Credit card processing fees apply. Tickets are non-refundable.
