Tickets will also be sold in Sunset Hill Green Market, 6405 32nd Ave N.W. in Ballard. Tickets will also be available day of the tour, June 23, at the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse. Please note all tickets must be exchanged for the tour booklet on June 23rd (beginning at 9:30 AM) at the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse at 3003 N.W. 66th Street in Ballard. Due to the historic popularity of this tour, BHS advises advanced purchase of tickets.

2019 Ballard Classic Home Tour
Ballard Historical Society is pleased to present eight vintage houses of enduring interest, quality and style built between 1905 - 1941 on this year's tour.  Get your tickets now, we only hold this event every three years!

The Ballard Classic Home Tour will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These well-maintained and well-loved homes will draw you back to an era of timeless craftsmanship and character, while managing to adapt and function exceptionally well in a very modern age.

About the Tour
The Ballard Classic Home Tour is Society's premier fundraiser! Your ticket purchase enables the organization to take part in education community projects, offer free historical lectures and maintain our historical photo archive, to name a few.

WHEN: Sunday June 23rd, 2019

Tour runs: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Your ticket must be exchanged for the tour guide with a map to this year's classic homes at our Will Call, which will open at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, at our Tour Headquarters in the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse.  A limited amount of tickets will be for sale on June 23, there.


WHERE: The Classic Home Tour begins at our Tour Headquarters at Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse, 3003 N.W. 66th St., Ballard.

Ballard Historical Society was formed in 1988 and is dedicated to the celebration, education and preservation of the unique history and culture of Ballard, WA.  The society is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides community and educational programs and maintains an extensive photo archive.

About Ballard
Ballard was its own city until 1907, when it was annexed to Seattle. Ballard had its own city government, complete with City Hall and Mayor. Tickets will also be available for purchase by cash and check only at the Sunset Hill Green Market, 6405 32rd Ave N.W. in Ballard, beginning June 1, 2019 until June 22, 2019.


A limited number of tickets will also be available day of the tour, June 23, at our Tour Headquarters in the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse.

Tour Guidelines
This is a self-guided tour; no transportation is provided. Homes may be visited in any order: not all are within walking distance from each other.

Unfortunately, the tour is not wheelchair accessible; there will be stairs and uneven sidewalks.

Guests will kindly remove shoes before entering homes.

No children under the age of 12; babes in arms are allowed.

No food or drink.

No cameras or video equipment.

Only a limited number of people will be allowed in a house at a time.

Due to the location of a few of the homes, parking may be required some distance away.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Are you interested in volunteering for the Ballard Classic Home Tour and touring the houses free of charge?  Please email our Classic Home Tour Coordinator, Lesli at retroreno@comcast.net.

Volunteers do not need to have prior experience and agree to work a three hour shift on tour day and then have three hours to tour the rest of the homes.
