Hands-on Sound Source Separation Workshop
---> WHAT is happening?
A sound source separation gathering with an informal tone and focus on discussion.
We will start by briefly introducing ourselves and the topics for discussion. Everyone is welcomed to propose a topic (just let us know in advance). For the rest of the day, we will work in small topic groups so everyone gets involved. We will conclude sharing our views on how the work made in each topic should be pursued for future collaborations and publications. Whoever wishes to continue the conversation will most certainly be able to do so in one of the lovely local pubs.
Also good to know: there will be free mini breakfast, vegetarian lunch and plenty of coffee.
---> WHO is this for?
Any sound source separation researcher eager to brainstorm and hack with their peers. It is especially an excellent opportunity for early-stage researchers to learn from, discuss with and maybe even establish future collaborations with international experts. So @PhD students, please leave the impostor syndrome behind and join us!
The total number of participants will be kept small (max. 30) to ensure the engagement of all attendants. First come first served basis, so make sure to book your spot soon!
---> WHERE is it taking place?
In the Graduate Centre of Queen Mary University of London (the new fancy building): 404 Bancroft Rd, London E1 4DH
Room GC 101 on the first floor - there will be signs.
---> WHEN is it on?
Saturday 11th of May 2019 from 09:30 till 17:00
---> WHY is this a good idea?
This is a hands-on workshop where you will actually get to discuss about sound source separation topics with leading researchers in the field. It aims to inspire us to pursue new research avenues and to promote the sense of scientific community by offering a common place for discussion.
---> HOW much it costs?
Nada. It's free :)
