Ojai House Concert Benefit
The kitchen table duo, Willa Mamet + Paul Miller, joined by La Maravilla, herself: Pamela Clare Wylie Samuelson, in a three-part harmonious delight that will knock your socks off.

Their last show - in which shoulders were sat upon, as even standing room had evaporated - brought the house down and put it back together again.  (And, as we know, even all the king's horses couldn't manage THAT.)

Come hear the sum total of more than 100 years of music-making, from the hearts of three people who will love you with their songs.   Three voices, a couple guitars, a ukulele here and there, and the fastest, funniest patter you've ever heard or we'll eat your hat.  Folk, country, Americana, grassy soul.  All in a beautiful home setting right there in Ojai, CA.

This show is a benefit for Mixteco, an organization to aid, organize, and empower Ventura county's indigenous immigrant community.  A portion of all ticket and merchandise sales will go to support them.

MORE ABOUT Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP):
The Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) unites indigenous leaders and allies to strengthen the Mixtec and indigenous immigrant community in Ventura County, estimated at 20,000 people. Most are strawberry farmworkers, and many speak primarily their indigenous language. MICOPs majority-indigenous staff builds community leadership and self-sufficiency through education and training programs, language interpretation, health outreach, humanitarian support, and cultural promotion. We organize the community to advocate for shared concerns. MICOP reaches approximately 6,000 individuals each year. MICOP is also the founder and home of Radio Indigena, out of Oxnard, Ca, a radio station with programming in indigenous languages such as Mixteco.
