Hollywood Heritage & The Hollywood Foreign Press Association Present: Afternoon @ the Barn - A Tribute to Fay Wray & Robert Riskin
Hollywood Heritage and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association present a very special AFTERNOON AT THE BARN  on Sunday, April 28th at 2:00PM with author Victoria Riskin. Ms. Riskin will discuss and sign copies of her brand new book "FAY WRAY and ROBERT RISKIN: A Hollywood Memoir" which focuses on her parents, legendary actress Fay Wray and distinguished screenwriter Robert Riskin.

Victoria (Vicki) Riskin is a film producer, psychologist, former director of the Writers Guild of America West and former director of Human Rights Watch.

Her mother Fay Wray, best known as Ann Darrow in the classic 1933 version of KING KONG, starred in nearly 120 movies beginning in the silent era.  Yet there was so much more to Fay Wray beyond the scream. She was also a Broadway actress, writer, and devoted wife and mother who embraced life, cultivated relationships, and sparked imaginations.

Vicki's father, Robert Riskin,  was the most prolific screenwriter at Columbia Pictures in the 1930s, where his works often spoke truth to power.  His screenplays included many collaborations with director Frank Capra such as IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, MEET JOHN DOE, MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN, and LOST HORIZON.

Fay Wray and Robert Riskin had a great love for each other and also for writing. And this love of writing has been passed down to their daughter Vicki Riskin in her wonderful new book.

There will be a presentation by Ms. Riskin, followed by a Q&A session, as well as rare film and TV clips. Also, there will be special movie memorabilia on display, including items from the original KING KONG.

Copies of FAY WRAY and ROBERT RISKIN A Hollywood Memoir will be available to purchase at the Barn for Ms. Riskin to sign.
