Patti Casey: Hailing from Montpelier, VT, Patti has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, and won the prestigious Kerrville songwriting competition in 2000. Her songs range from anthemic to quietly contemplative. Gary Raynor, bassist for the PHC All-Star Shoe Band, said of her: "Some music is good. Some music is great. Some music is essential. Patti Casey is essential."
William Pint and Felicia Dale: Pint and Dale are old friends of the festival, appearing in 1990 with Tom Lewis and again in 1993 as a duo. They bring to life songs and legends of the sea with spellbinding harmonies, guitar, octave mandolin, pennywhistles, and hurdy-gurdy. Dirty Linen says, "William Pint and Felicia Dale rank among North America's most exciting interpreters of music based in the traditions of the British Isles and France... unconventional but spine-tingling... unique and mesmerizing ".
The Piedmont Melody Makers: PMM is an all-star old-timey, bluegrass, and gospel ensemble featuring Grammy nominee Alice Gerrard, multi-instrumentalists Chris Brashear and Cliff Hale, and bassist Jim Watson. Jim appeared at the GottaGetGon back in 1976 with the legendary Red Clay Ramblers, and also toured for years with Robin & Linda Williams. The Raleigh News and Observer says "At a time when country music is mired in the worst esthetic swamp since the Urban Cowboy fad of the early 1980s, the Piedmont Melody Makers offer music from and for the soul."
Colin McCaffrey: Also from Montpelier, Berklee graduate Colin has won awards for both bluegrass and jazz songwriting. In addition to his fluent singing and string playing, he is a sought-after studio player, engineer, and record producer. The Burlington Free Press writes: "A rootsy standout among the singer-songwriter set, McCaffrey is an East Montpelier multi-instrumentalist who plays just about everything...mixing old-time bluegrass, folksy Americana and a comforting vocal tone that falls somewhere between Peter Rowan and James Taylor, McCaffrey is a Green Mountain treasure worth unearthing."
