David Rothenberg: "Nightingales in Berlin: Seearching for the Perfect Sound'
The Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's premier Arts and Entertainment venue, in collaboration with Eleni Smolen's Equinox Series are pleased to present David Rothenberg and Rinde Eckert in concert and his book and CD release with excerpts from the film. "No one on this beautiful planet relates to the natural world quite like David Rothenberg. Musician, philosopher, traveler, and prodigious writer, he finds wellsprings of deepest grace, participates musically, and shares beautifully. It is not only fitting that he has teamed up with the most famous singer in nature's ark. Rothenberg has crafted for us another rich and transporting read, as penetrating as the song of a nightingale itself". Carl Safina, author of 'Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel".
