Live Bait Presents a Play About Chester Cole Directed by Charlie Rhindress
Live Bait Theatre is excited to present the world premiere of a new play about Chester Cole. "Cole", written by Ron Kelly Spurles and directed by Charlie Rhindress, will feature music by Janet Crawford and Ray Legere. It will be presented Wednesday to Saturday at 7:30 pm and Saturdays also at 2 pm from May 22 to June 1 at the Music Barn. The play is also part of the Bordertown Festival.
"We're very excited to be presenting this world premiere, our second mainstage production of our 30th anniversary season", said Cynthia Spurles, Live Bait Board President. "Chester Cole was a speed skating champion who died tragically in 1930. We've created a play about his life including his ascension to be a world champion, and the tragedy in New York that brought it all to a sudden end. This exciting professional production will be sure to please Sackville audiences who will recognize many familiar names, places and events in the show."
Tickets for "Cole" are on sale now and can be purchased here or at Robert Lyon Graphics on Weldon St. For more information email info@livebaittheatre.com or phone 536-2248.
