Hohlax Trio from Greece
Join the Hohlax Trio on a magical musical journey to Greece- from the backstreets of Pireus to the magical Aegean islands -on their third West Coast tour this September!
Formed in 2007 on the Greek island of Amorgos, the trio is: gifted violinist Jaime Smith, a native Californian who went to Greece on a Fullbright scholarship and has been living and performing there for 13 years; celebrated bouzouki player, songwriter and vocalist Orestis Koletsos; and Greek recording artist and Byzantine music scholar Apostolis Kounis, who also plays guitar and oud.
This talented and accomplished trio has an energy and force, along with a dedication to the music traditions of Greece, which will entertain you and get your dancing feet moving!
