SPECIAL HONOREE Renowned LA-based artist Lari Pittman will be the evening's special honored guest. The Huntington exhibited his Mood Books in 2016, and his works have been on view at other prestigious museums including the Getty, LACMA, and MoMA. Pittman's works draw from a variety of aesthetic traditions, ranging from decorative art and design to advertising and folk art. His paintings and drawings are a personal rebellion against rigid, puritanical dichotomies, and his deployment of simultaneously occurring narratives and opulent imagery reflects the heterogeneity of American society, the artists Colombian heritage, and the distorting effects of hypercapitalism on everyday life. Reservations will be held at the door.
Call 626-405-2290 to reserve the upper level packages or with questions about the event.
Please purchase tickets by April 15 if you wish to be recognized on the invitation.
Value of goods and services is $65 per General Admission ticket and $75 per VIP ticket.
