1678, Padua. Elena Cornaro Piscopia becomes the first woman to obtain a doctorate from an university. Her story starts in Venice, in a beautiful palace on the water. Voices of her life are told by a narrator who is going to bring the audience back to 1600 while a violin will give voice to Elenas feelings.
