My Beautiful Film and Disco (LGBTQ takeover!) Film screening of My Beautiful Laundrette
Come and have fun with the We Do Good Disco team on Easter Sunday, 21st April, for our LGBTQ film, fun and disco extravaganza. In collaboration with our friends at Ninth Life and Team Catford we are proud to present an evening of film, fun and dancing, as we take over Ninth Life to screen the wonderful My Beautiful Launderette (1985, dir Stephen Frears) starring Daniel Day Lewis.
Before the film you can play games with Cynthia Seaward and Veronica Montenegro, our Drag Queen Games Mistresses Extraordinaire, and listen to cheesy listening from DJ Doo Lang.
After the film the We Do Good female DJs will be playing great music until late. Expect fun and games at the bar, and sequins and glitter everywhere!
We will be raising money for Metro Charity on the night so bring cash for the raffle - prizes from local ceramicists, local businesses and a top prize of a hamper from Catford Cornucopia!
Dress: your Sunday Best! Prizes for the best look!
Friends, please note! Entrance to the event is free but if you wish to watch the film, there is a cost of £5 per person. Advance tickets available here. Some tickets may also be available on the door on the night!
