AIAOC Lunch Program -COTE: Improving Quality of Life with Biophilic Design
Course Description:

This seminar will present the beneficial impact of plants in different environments. How people are affected by the air quality in an atmosphere, how plants can improve health benefits, increase work productivity, and have positive psychological benefits as well.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will learn about Bophilia, our innate human tendency to create close connections with nature by designing atmospheres with plants.   Attendees will understand various physical side-effects of air quality and how it affects body/ brain functioning and performance.  Attendees will see how improved productivity in a work space is evident through air purification by plants.   Through demonstrations, attendees will observe different living plant wall systems that provide maximum wall coverage to create plant filled atmospheres, utilizing the most space for indoor and outdoor plants (especially beneficial for urban environments.)
