Pianist Ian Hobson will present fourteen concerts spanning the entire solo piano repertoire as well as the complete chamber music with piano of Johannes Brahms. A versatile conductor and piano soloist, Mr. Hobson is known for his masterly performances of the Romantic masters, his deft and idiomatic readings of neglected piano music old and new, and his assured conducting from both the piano and the podium. For this unprecedented series, Mr. Hobson has invited 11 distinguished soloists to join him. All concerts take place either on Tuesday or Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues.
