Event
Ending the Diet Mindset with Becca Clegg, LPC, CEDS-S
NEDA Network* organizations are teaming up to promote No Diet Day 2019! This movement, promoting the elimination of the shame associated with society's standards of beauty and respect for all body shapes and sizes, will take place on Monday, May 6th.
*The NEDA Network is a collaboration between the National Eating Disorders Association and other like-minded organizations dedicated to their cause. Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders (CRC for ED) is a member of the #NEDANetwork and together, we provide a unified voice of strength, advocacy, and support in the fight against eating disorders.
CRC for ED is excited to participate in the first year of this #NoDietDay national social media campaign and, to host Becca Clegg the author of Ending the Diet Mindset, in NC! This is an important and timely workshop that will address dieting and its potential for unhealthy behaviors and health outcomes. ------------------------------------------- What's wrong with this picture? *95% of diets fail and most will regain their lost weight in 1-5 years. *35% of occasional dieters progress into pathological dieting (disordered eating) and as many as 25% will advance to full-blown eating disorders.
Join us, with workshop sponsor Veritas Collaborative, in support of body acceptance on May 6, 2019 from 5:30-7:30pm for a presentation, discussion, and book signing with Becca Clegg, LPC, CEDS-S.
