SLOW FOOD Harvest Moon dinner at the Bale Mill

Napa Valley Slow Food and the California State Parks will co-host a living history event at Napa Valleys Historic Bale Grist Mill, http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=482
Enjoy an enchanted evening beneath the 36ft. waterwheel Saturday September 13, 2008 from 6pm to 10pm. The event will host a variety of old time crafts demonstrations, mill tours, accoustic music while guests enjoy wine, beer, hor d'oevres. A sit down dinner will be catered by the Silverado Brewing Company featuring a SLOW FOOD menu. A silent auction will be held during the event. Please cash and checks only for auction items.

The proceeds benefit the restoration of the Bale Mill's 1850's era machinery. The event is co-sponsored by Napa Valley State Parks Association, Silverado Brewing Company,and the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce.

The Bale Mill, built in the 1850s, is one of the last operating grist Mills west of the Rockies, and is a true testament to a Slow life.
