Four years after the events of the first Jurassic Park movie, a second island with a breeding facility for the dinosaurs has been discovered and two competing teams have traveled there. One, lead by Ian Malcolm (Goldblum), seeks to document the creatures in their natural habitat before they can be exploited. The other is looking to get a jump-start on said exploitation by capturing a t-rex and bringing it to San Diego. Of course, things do not go as planned and chaos ensues.
